In her first track race of the season Shona Heaslip has ran a ridiculous time of 16.11 for 5000m to give her the qualifying standard for the World Student Games this August. Shona was competing at the intervarsities in C.I.T. last Friday where she took the gold medal as well as running this fantastic time. Chairman, William Dennehy is currently investigating/costing the possibility of taking a club bus to Taiwan to support Shona.
What a day, great atmosphere and lots of willing and able participants. A massive thanks to all our stewards officials and chefs! Click here for results! And for John Reidy's fantastically poetic write up click here.
